Art glass has long been used in the Arts and Crafts tradition. To me, the live oak art glass pattern incorporated in the front door of the Gamble House in Pasadena by the Greene and Greene Brothers or the Tree of Life art glass screens in the windows surrounding the Dawin D. Martin House in Buffalo by Frank Lloyd Wright are perfect examples of this marriage of wood and glass. I also enjoy incorporating these additions into my furniture or keep as stand-alone pieces. It brings an elegance and uniqueness to my pieces that reinforces the nature of handmade craftsmanship.
